Why Join Manchester Women's Network?

Joining the Women's Network for Manchester puts you directly in touch with a community of over 200 groups which are women-only or have services directed specifically at women. It also provides a platform for you to promote your activities to the wider public, and raise awareness of the issues you are concerned with.

The network facilitates the sharing of ideas, resources and information. It also provides opportunities for groups to meet and work together on joint projects and campaigns to increase our influence in the city.

		Are you aware of gaps in provision for specific groups of women, or lack of research into particular issues that disproportionately affect women in Manchester? MWN can help bring these concerns to the fore and make sure action is taken to address them. Let us know via the Discussion Forum, or send in an idea for the MWN Newsletter.

		Are there projects your group has always wished to carry out, but you've lacked the time or resources? MWN will be a great way to find potential partners. Use the Network's communication channels to discuss and develop your ideas, seek help with funding etc.

Membership Criteria:

The Manchester Women's Network is intended to be a sharing community. Its success relies on the contribution of its members. Applications for membership are subject to approval of the network Steering Group (elected from our membership).

Member Groups Should:

		Be women-only groups, or have activities or services aimed specifically at women.

		Be based in, or work for the benefit of people in Manchester.

		Be prepared to contribute to the network by sharing ideas, skills, information or resources

		Operate for the benefit of the community, not for profit.
